What students said.

A few comments from students I worked with last year.

The grinds were really helpful and easy to understand. I went from failing my mocks to passing the Leaving Cert and would highly recommend them.

Leaving Cert Ordinary Level

The grinds were really helpful and you explained the questions really well. It made learning how to solve them easier and showed more ways to tackle a question and to start an answer.

Leaving Cert Higher Level

The grinds really helped build my confidence in maths. Going through questions each week made me much more comfortable with the Junior Cert paper and I felt much better prepared going into the exam.

Junior Cert Higher Level

Notes made to be used.

The notes are organised chapter by chapter and designed around how students actually work: concise teaching, every important line shown in worked examples, exam mistakes flagged, and proper space to do the questions yourself.

Algebra factorising notes used in online maths grinds

Algebra — factorising, worked step by step

Calculus related-rates worked example from the maths notes

Calculus — related rates with a full worked example

Trigonometry sine and cosine rule worked example from the maths notes

Notes are included with the grinds. Relevant pages are sent after class so you have something useful to revise from instead of trying to remember everything from the call.

How it works.

No complicated booking system. We agree a weekly slot, you send on what you want to cover, and the lesson is built around that.

Send your year, level, current grade, target grade and any weak topics.

Choose a slot

I’ll send two or three available weekly times and we choose one that suits.

Do the lesson

One hour on Zoom: short review, clear explanation, exam questions, then you try one yourself.

Questions.

A few practical things before you book.

Can students outside Kenmare join the online maths grinds?

Yes. All regular grinds are online through Zoom, so students can join from anywhere in Ireland. I cover Leaving Cert Higher and Ordinary Level and Junior Cycle (Junior Cert) Higher Level.

How much do the maths grinds cost?

One-to-one online maths grinds are €40 per hour. Small-group grinds are €20 per student per hour, with a maximum of five students.

Are the grinds online?

Yes. All regular grinds are online through Zoom. Each student or group gets a recurring link for their weekly session.

How do payments work?

Regular weekly places are paid in advance in four-week blocks. That keeps your weekly slot reserved.

What happens if I need to cancel?

For one-to-one sessions, please give at least 24 hours' notice. Group lessons continue as normal if one person cannot attend.

Do I need to know what I want to cover?

Not exactly, but it helps if you send topics, chapters or specific questions before the lesson. If you are unsure, send your current grade and where you feel weakest and we can work from there.

Will there be crash courses?

Yes. I plan to run focused Leaving Cert crash courses around the mocks and again over Easter, split across shorter sessions rather than one very long day.

How many places are available?

I keep the number limited so the weekly schedule stays manageable. Some students from last year are already continuing, so it is worth messaging early if you want a regular slot.

Want a place?

Send me a WhatsApp with your year, level and whether you are looking for one-to-one or a group. If you already have a group, tell me how many are in it.
